A Mother's Final Moments Captured on Home Security Video

Pennsylvania womanIn a heart-wrenching case that has left a family torn apart, a Pennsylvania woman's final moments were captured on home security video. The footage, obtained by CBS News, shows the devastating consequences of a tragic event that has sparked questions about justice and accountability.

A Family Torn Apart
Melissa Rocuba was airlifted to a hospital on a steamy August night in 2013 after being shot in the head. Her daughter Chelsea Cicio, who lived next door, was already at the hospital when the helicopter arrived. Chelsea's sister Sabrina Rocuba and their father Bruno were also present, but it would be years before the truth about what happened that night would come to light.

A Changing Story
Bruno initially told investigators that Melissa had accidentally shot herself while they were arguing. However, Chelsea says her father later changed his story and admitted that he had threatened Melissa with a gun when she refused to be intimate with him. This revelation has left the family reeling and questioning whether justice was truly served.

A Motive for Murder?
The sisters began to wonder if money was a motive for their mother's shooting after Bruno had them sign paperwork giving him control of Melissa's estate. Chelsea says she felt pressured into signing the documents, which would have given her father complete control over their mother's $300,000 inheritance.

A New Investigation
Four years later, Corporal Greg Allen was assigned to investigate open cases for the Pennsylvania State Police. He took a fresh look at Melissa's case and noticed inconsistencies in Bruno's story. The 911 call from that night revealed three different accounts of what happened, with Bruno initially saying it was self-inflicted before changing his story to say they were arguing.

The Rocuba family's tragic story raises important questions about justice and accountability. As the investigation continues, one thing is clear: the truth must come out, no matter how difficult it may be to hear. The family's courage in speaking out serves as a reminder that even in the darkest moments, there is always hope for justice and healing.
