Repost from @balleralert: (Sharon Chuter, Founder of Uoma Beauty and Industry Pioneer, Found Dead at 38

Blogged by thinktank

The beauty world is reeling over the untimely passing of Uoma Beauty founder Sharon Chuter.

Chuter, a trailblazer known for her fierce commitment to diversity in cosmetics, was found dead in Los Angeles at just 38 years old.

Authorities confirmed she was discovered on a residential patio on August 14th. While the official cause of death has not been released, the news has rocked the beauty and business communities alike.

Born in Nigeria and based in LA, Chuter wasn’t just a CEO, she was a force. Her debut launch featured 51 foundation shades, setting a new industry standard that many brands have since tried to match.

Before creating her own lane, she worked with giants like L’Oréal and LVMH. She even brought Revlon into Nigeria, proving her global influence early on.

In 2020, she created Pull Up for Change, urging companies to reveal how many Black leaders they employ.) #Uhuru
